Who’s More Powerful: Captain Marvel or Thor

Warning: Minor Spoilers for “Avengers: Endgame” and “Captain Marvel”
A common debate at my house is whether Captain Marvel or Thor is more powerful. I am torn between the two, but I do think that one would win in a fight. They both have very incredible abilities, and both were vital in the recent Marvel movies. Despite how they are tied, I believe that Thor is more powerful.
Thor is an Avenger that had the weakest solo-series, the second movie, Thor: Dark World being one of the worst Marvel movies. That is until the third movie in his series, Thor: Ragnarok, changed it all. Ragnarok is considered the best Marvel movie by many fans. He will also be the first Avenger to get a fourth solo-movie. Last year, Thor won the Marvel battle royal, a contest where Marvel picks many of their characters, holds a fictional tournament, and decides a winner. It is still an honor that shows Thor’s might. He is one of the strongest Asgardians and is considered a god by the people of Earth because of his powers, which means he can take a hit.
Captain Marvel’s movie was also amazing. It has a great main character, fantastic action scenes, and an alien cat. She has vague powers, which means that whenever there is a scene that seems impossible for the character to survive through, she can suddenly use a power we didn’t know about. She is very tough, can deal devastating amounts of damage, and can fly.
Thor is only ahead of Captain Marvel by a hair. Thor has worthiness on his side, a weapon that seems useless until you hear about Mjolnir. Thor's mighty hammer can only be lifted by the worthy, and after it returns in Avengers: Endgame, he has the power of both the mightiest weapon in the world, and the second most powerful, which is Stormbreaker, a powerful axe. This means he has a fraction more power than the ex-Kree soldier, Captain Marvel.
Marvel has some crazy powerful heroes and villains, but the Asgardian god of thunder and the savior of the skrulls are definitely at the top. They are always helpful in the Marvel movies, and many people disagree on who is the most powerful. I at first thought they were equal, but I came to the conclusion that Thor was more powerful. I may change my mind after watching future movies, but this is my opinion for now. Think about it yourself, and form your own opinion on who takes the trophy of most powerful.
