There are lots of foods from different parts of the world that we all eat today. There’s Indian, Chinese, and Italian, to name a few. But the list of foods from different countries we normally try is very short, even though there are so many good dishes in the world that can easily be found with a quick Google search.
Kashmir: Yogurt Lamb Curry
Kashmir is a small region right by Pakistan and India, but its food is absolutely delicious. A prime example of this is the yogurt lamb curry, which is made by cooking lamb with a sauce made of yogurt, onion paste, chilies, and dried mint leaves.
Peru: Aji De Gallina
Peru is a country in South America that is very well known, but its recipes are not. Aji De Gallina is essentially a Peruvian chicken stew with ingredients like milk, chicken, and rice. Depending on the recipe, it will also have a varying amount of spices and other ingredients in it to add another level of flavor.
Canada: Saskatoon Berry Pie
Saskatoon berry pie is a Canadian pie that has been described as having a very sweet flavor that is also reminiscent of almonds. It is typically eaten with ice cream, and is a very popular dessert in Canada.
Scotland: Cullen Skink
Cullen skink is a very heavy soup that is traditionally made with smoked haddock, onions, and potatoes. In some parts of Britain, it is better known as smoked haddock chowder. This dish originates from Cullen, a small town in northeast Scotland.
